SANDUGO ‘08 FEVER: LGU-Jagna’s Sinuog”Estokada” entry to the recently concluded 2008 Sandugo Street Dancing in Tagbilaran City won the Best in Streetdancing Award, one of the three major awards given by the Bohol Sandugo Foundation, Inc. Jagna received a cash prize of P50,000.00, an impressive trophy and a plaque of recognition.

 Sinuog”Estokada” is the latest addition to the growing socio-cultural traditions of Jagna which depicts the celestial conflict of good and evil as lifted from the Scriptures. The maiden festival was observed on September 29, 2001 and was an instant success. Mayor Exuperio Lloren gave his support and through a Sangguniang Bayan resolution, the festival has been institutionalized. (photos MPIO)
