Getting to know better on the Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-IBIG Fund Region VII office representatives were here on April 27. PAG-IBIG extension office Mr. Rudolfo Cuhit the three visitors were cordially received here. The regional PAG-IBIG orientation task force team sent their official communication to the Mayor Led by PAG-IBIG Assistant Division Chief of Mandaue City branch Mr. Dalemark Antonio accompanied by its Marketing Specialist Juda Caballes and Marketing Specialist of Tagbilaran City Exuperio Lloren and Municipal Treasurer Raymond Emmanuel Cuadra regarding their important purpose here. Mayor Lloren who willingly cooperated for the success of the activity invited two delegates for every office to attend to the said information packed confab. Also given the access to participate were some Local Government Unit (LGU) employees with problems regarding PAG-IBIG. Likewise Mr. Cuadra enjoined those in the business sector especially the market vendors and those interested to avail the opportune occasion to take part for their own good. Mr. Antonio in his part discussed on the governing laws and decrees that benchmarked the PAG-IBIG method of operation under the government warranty scheme in the savings and loan system. One major part significantly pointed out by the speaker in this connection was Republic Act 7742 or the Pag-IBIG Universal Coverage Law which requires mandatory membership of all workers or employees covered by Social Security System (SSS) and Government Service Insurance System (GSIS). On the other hand Mr Caballes deliberated on the different programs of the co-development mutual fund scheme. The most actively participated portion of the Caballes discussion was on the loan aspect. Other significant point in the discussion was on the time limit and other grounds whereby members can get back or withdraw their PAG-IBIG contributions. During the open forum that followed the queries raised were mostly on some new additional privileges to avail of are more beneficial to the members.
