The involvement of a large number of individual volunteer in all walks of life here that trooped to the school to work cooperatively for the almost a week of the so-called Brigada Eskuela are the people instrumental for the milestone of laudable success of all the public elementary and secondary schools In this municipality. Enhanced by the fruitful outcome of the division-wide orientation activity about the Brigada Eskuela held at Villalimpia, Loay on April 30 attended by some division of Bohol officials headed by Dr. Elpidio Jala Bohol Schools Division Superintendent, indeed many school administrators and teachers were well guided on the right conduct of operation of this significant community based school voluntarism scheme. Mrs. Delfina Ola-a Jagna’s schools district supervisor sometime in the later part of March had a district meeting with the school principals, heads of schools and teachers on how to carry out the Brigada Eskuela without lumps. As bared by the office of Mrs. Ola-a this school job that falls in the month of May with the self-help idea is a Department of Education (DepEd) order to be done synchronizely from May 18 to 23. Furthermore this is also meaningfully called as Brigada Eskuela Plus due to the fact that not only parents, teachers and school learners are encouraged to partake but the Local Government Unit as well as the civic and religious organizations are added to take part. It was also emphasized in the Villalimpia Orientation of the Brigada Eskuela that one of the underlying goals of this movement is the improvement of the condition of the physical plant of the school making it always conducive to learning. Also rationalized was the learners’ attainment of a better level of academic performance and decreasing the dropout rate. Although the said activity is a no-cash involved task some civic spirited and generous people here gave some aid in the forms of materials used for the petty projects undergone by the brigade task enforcers. Foremost among the high profile government executive that gave an ample support is Atty. Fortunato Rances Abrenilla of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Manila. Among the localities’ mercantile group are Dory General Merchandise, LM Commerial, Blue Jay Pharmacy, Mr. & Mrs. Ben Agcol and Mr. Felipe Tan. For Jagnaanons living abroad are Conie Ishizuka and the family of Luis Casenas. For the LGU Barangay chairman Bonifacio J. Virtudes Jr. and the officials of barangay Tejero that gave free service of the grass cutter and also their labor in cleaning the school ground of Jagna Central Elementary School. Other list of benevolent Jagnaanons that shared material things for the success of the almost a weeklong of voluntary works are kept by the respective heads of school of the different barangays here.
