JAGNA CONDUCTS 3rd QUARTER EARTHQUAKE DRILL |

The Local Government Unit of (LGU) Jagna through the office of the Municipal Disaster Coordinating Council (MDCC) conducted its 3rd quarter nationwide earthquake drill in the morning of July 21.
The objective of the quarterly earthquake drills is to make the public aware of what to do in case an earthquake occurs in order to prevent casualties.
This is also pursuant to the pronouncement and instruction of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo after the 1st Nationwide Earthquake Drill on June 20, 2006 for earthquake drills to be conducted on a quarterly basis.
Jagna’s MDCC Deputized Coordinator and Planning Officer, Engr. Gerry Araneta personally facilitated the said activity under the supervision and coordination with Provincial Disaster Coordinating Council Executive Officer Lt. Col. Raul Mendez and Office of the Civil Defense Provincial Coordinator Ms. Florenda Gaviola.
LGU officials and employees took active participation as they religiously followed the steps of an earthquake drill such as the alarm, response, evacuation, inspection, assembly, head count and evaluation by the visiting team.
